Shimmy for ISTRINA

This Monday (3rd December 2012) join me for my trademark shimmy bootcamp from 8:30pm till 9:30pm, at Garden View Complex, Swieqi. Learn 8 essential shimmies and some basic layering. Get ready to shimmy till you drop and have lots of fun, Fun, FUN!

No experience necessary, everyone is welcome (even complete beginners)!

New Beginner Bellydance classes starting in Lija

 

Due to popular demand, we are happy to announce a new beginner bellydance class in Lija.  Classes will be held every Friday at 7:30pm, starting from this Friday – 9th November.  The session will be four weeks long and the course fee EUR 34.00.  As always, there is a one-time registration fee of EUR 5.00 payable only once by new students.  

I encourage those who are interested to contact me asap as places are filling up fast.  

Summer Fever

As most of you know, the Spring session is coming to an end this week.  Well done to all the students who participated in the classes – you have all done great!  Thumbs up for the students who performed during the showcase at San Anton during the Horticultural Festival, and our school show at Baystreet.  I am happy to anounce that we raised close to EUR 150 for the Malta Hospice Movement during our Baystreet show – my thanks go to all the students who performed for their enthusiasm, the lovely crowd fo their cheering and to all those who donated!

The much awaited Hafla will be held tomorrow at the Black Pearl.  The event is pretty much sold out, there are only a few more places left.  Those who would like to join us for the evening but have not booked, kindly contact Arthur on 21316000 to see whether there are any places left and pay at the door.  Entrance is EUR 10 and covers only arabic finger food (click here for details).

I am pleased to annouce the new bellydance classes.  This session will be a short one, just 5 weeks long, after which we will stop for our usual summer break.  Classes will recommence as per usual in mid-September.  Click here for more details about the classes, timetable and fees.  With regards to Gozo classes – I am still struggling to find a studio there.  If anyone knows of a venue that is available on Saturday mornings, please let me know.

BEGINNER BELLYDANCE
LEVEL: Complete Beginner/Refreshers
WHAT: This introductory 5 week programme is structured to teach some of the fundamental movements found in bellydance. Students will be introduced to basic technique, including isolations, slides, circles, shimmies, figure 8s, undulations, and various hip accents.
WHEN: Every Monday from 5th July till 2nd August, from 7:15pm till 8:15pm
WHERE: Garden View Holiday Complex, Swieqi
PRICE: €47.50 (5 lessons, 1 hour each), minimum 7 students for price to apply. Drop-ins are welcome at €12.00 per class.

I N T E R M E D I A T E – RAQS SHARKI CHOREOGRAPHY

LEVEL: Intermediate students (including those who have completed Beginner 3)
WHAT: Learn an exciting original routine to Sahar’s “Drama Queen” oozing with Egyptian flavour.
WHEN: Every Monday from 28th June till 26th July, from 8:30pm till 10:00pm
WHERE: Garden View Holiday Complex, Swieqi
PRICE: €71.00 (5 lessons, 1 hour 30 minutes each), minimum 7 students for price to apply

DROP-IN CLASS PROCEDURE

Students enrolled in any Beginner or Intermediate Programs are encouraged to attend as many additional classes per week AT or BELOW their level as they would like. The options available are as follows:
Option 1: “Pay as you go” – EUR12.00 per 1 hr class
Option 2: Use your 10- or 5-Class Card
Class Cards are pre-paid 1 hr classes and may be purchased for any currently enrolled student. 5-Class Cards cost EUR 40 (5 hours); 10-Class Cards cost EUR 70 (10 hours). Cards are valid for the individual whose name appears on the card. Class Cards are valid for the session in which they were purchased and must be presented before class begins. Class cards are non-replaceable, non-transferable or non-refundable. No exceptions!

PLEASE NOTE: The above class cards and “pay-as-you-go” options are only available to students who are enrolled in a programme during that particular session. They can be used to attend technique programmes and specialty classes such as shimmy bootcamps, however they cannot be redeemed for Workshops.

Non-students are only accepted as drop-ins in the Technique programmes (such as B1), at €12.00 per class. No exceptions.
